This historic house was built by the patriarch Johan Olsen Cowshed towards the end of the 1800s. Originally, it served as a working farm building with a horsebox, cow stalls, and even a pigeon loft.
Given the poor quality of the soil, farming here required immense effort. Grass was harvested from bays, inlets, and nearby islands, then transported by boat and hung on drying racks near the house.
Today, the building has been carefully adapted into two separate and unique accommodations, ideal for friends, families, travellers, and photographers seeking privacy while sharing a special place.
A more intimate and cozy room, offering one bunk bed (2 sleeping places). Ideal for two friends or a couple looking for a more affordable option within the same historic setting.
